Membership Applications
Joining the class means that you get to meet and sail against other Impala owners. You also get your Class Certificate — you will need this to race against other Impalas in regattas where an Impala one-design class is held.
Membership Forms and Information
Membership is annual and runs from January to January.
Annual Membership fees are decided at the Class AGM in late January and membership forms are issued as soon as practicable after the AGM. Once you are on the Class lists you will be sent a form automatically.
If you are not a member of the Class, you can download the 2008 membership form above in either Microsoft Word or PDF format.
Joining is simple, simply fill in the form and post it off to the Membership Secretary along with your membership fee. Fees are given below.
For 2008, the Membership fees and categories are:
FULL membership shall be open to any owner of an Impala. An Impala is only eligible to race under the One Design rules provided the owner, or at least one of the joint owners, is a full paid up member of the Impala Class Association.
Full membership costs £25.00 if paid by 1st March 2008, £30.00 from thereon. €45.00 if paid by 1st March 2008, €52.00 from thereon.
ASSOCIATE membership shall be open to all individuals, clubs and organisations interested in the Impala Class.
Associate membership costs £8.00/€12.00 regardless of when you join.
Class Certificates
Class Certificates are issued when your membership fees have cleared the bank and are posted to the address you have given on the membership form.
Need a Class Certificate in a hurry? If you need a Class Certificate in a hurry as you've entered a regatta and don't have one, our Membership Secretary will do her best to get one to you.
In these circumstances, you will be required to pay your membership fee electronically and you will be charged an extra £5.00 to cover the cost of special delivery of your certificate to you.
You should normally allow a week for your membership to be processed and for your Class Certificate to be posted.
